Physical Therapist (Traveler Position) – Corpus, Texas
Job Description
A facility in Corpus, TX is looking for Physical Therapist – Traveler position
Provides patient assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation
Participates in the clinical team process; Provides teaching and training to care giver staff
Involvement in clinical program development; Supervises other licensed therapists, assistants, technicians, aides and students as required
All travelers are held to a 90% productivity rate, most travelers will be asked to work 1 Saturday per month
Tuesday through Saturday shifts are available
Duties and responsibilities
Participate in group therapy one to two times per week.
Screens patients/residents
May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as: assigning and overseeing patient/resident care activities, medical record oversight, assuring execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc
Promotes positive customer relations
Exhibits courtesy, compassion and respect to patients, residents, families, caregivers, visitors, physicians, administrators and co-workers
Required Skills
Creative - Ability to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.
Honesty / Integrity - Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace
Judgment - The ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy
Certificates/Licenses/and/or Registrations, etc..: Active and valid Professional Licensure in the state of hire as a Physical Therapist
