Position – Family Medicine NP / PA with pain medicine
Type – Full time
Description
Excellent opportunities for a Family medicine nurse practitioner or physician assistant available at a clinic at Houston, Texas
Nurse practitioner or physician assistant with pain management background would be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner in this role will provide acute and/or chronic pain management; provide education and guidance on the principles of pain management; provide institutional leadership in all process improvement activities related to pain management; write, revise and implement protocols and in-service education related to pain management practices and standards; evaluate acute pain treatment outcomes advises on implementation and evaluation of chronic and palliative care pain management
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Nursing and Advanced degree in Nurse Practitioner program required
Licensed as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas.
Holds current DEA number
Holds current ACLS Certification.

Minimum one year experience in the area of pain management. Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills. Effective leadership skills. Ability to work independently, problem solve and prioritize. Meets or exceeds commensurate educational requirements for licensure
Monday through Saturday - 7.30 am to 2.30 pm
