Employment Attorney - In House

Employment Attorney The candidate will be reviewing documents; conducting telephone interviews with management witnesses and the appropriate human resources representative to compile a position statement; and some matters will need representation at a government agency mediation session and others will require representation in government investigation, beyond the mediation sessions. Should have a J.D. degree from accredited law school with active membership in the MD State Bar. Must have 7+ years of law firm and/or in-house employment litigation experience. Significant experience defending discrimination charges required.
The candidate should be registered to practice in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and be a member of the state Bar of Texas or a member of the bar of another state and intend to become a member of the Texas Bar. Should also have a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, or in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical degree. Graduate degree of comparable work experience in technology relevant to company's business preferred. Must have 10+ years of experience in intellectual property practice, including meaningful professional exposure to all major areas of intellectual property practice. Experience in negotiating and drafting agreements relating to the protection, ownership, utilization and/or transfer of IP rights and working knowledge of laws and practices applicable to technology licensing in the U.S. and other countries is needed.
