Associate General Counsel -E-Discovery The candidate will manage general discovery and electronic discovery issues and other issues involving the role and use of technology in litigation for the company. Will supervise outside counsel, eDiscovery vendors, and other vendors of services related to litigation and litigation support particularly in the area of technological services. Evaluate vendors, coordinate and develop discovery and litigation management strategies. Manage eDiscovery including designing and implementing systems and processes to insure the appropriate data preservation, collection and production of electronic data conformance with applicable legal requirements. Develop recommendations for process improvement and a governance framework for discovery and litigation readiness. Provide reports and presentations to business clients. Manage costs and budgetary systems in connection with such systems and processes.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. CPA and/or advanced degree. LL.M./J.D. degree in Taxation is preferred. 10+ years of experience in leading and directing a multi-functional, division or section in taxation. Extensive knowledge of ASC 740 or related tax and accounting area preferred. Public Accounting and large corporate tax experience preferred. SAP and/or Corptax experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and executive presence along with well-developed management and supervisory skills. Comprehensive industry knowledge.
