Assistant General Counsel Duties : Assists the Senior Vice President and General Counsel, other more senior attorneys, and members of company's management by providing legal advice and counsel (including conducting or overseeing legal research, identifying new or emerging areas of risk), on a range of topics within general practice areas. The AGC, Regional Operations is required to be an effective and influential leader in providing legal services to a broad range of health care clients including hospitals and medical foundations or physician organizations. Will serve as a senior member of a team providing legal services to a large region of an integrated health care delivery system.
Requirements: An advanced degree ( MBA, Juris Doctorate, Ph.D.) with extensive business experience. 15 years of senior leadership experience with a strong background in higher education, accreditation and regulatory and compliance. Demonstrated experience leading institutions through multiple accreditation reviews, site visits. In depth knowledge of one or more regional accreditation bodies. Significant experience in overseeing, managing, and creating processes and programs, particularly related to assessment, accreditation, and compliance. In depth knowledge and skill in preparing, organizing and leading teams through successful accreditation. Proven ability to communicate issues and recommendations persuasively and effectively to key stakeholders. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills.
