Unpaid Spring Internships ( January to May ) Duties of the interns will include the following: Attending legislative hearings; participating in regular office meetings; conducting legislative research and assisting staff with responding to constituents inquires; giving tours of the capitol building to constituents; and responding to constituent inquiries and phone calls. Students wishing to learn more about Congress and the legislative process can apply.
The candidate should have an advanced educational and professional designation, including MBA, CFA, CPA, JD, CFP, CIMA and similar evidence of advanced learning and professional qualification. Must have 10+ years of financial planning or investment advisory experience, dealing with high new worth individuals and families in a broad capacity including 7+ years of related experience in an open architecture platform. Should have knowledge of fiduciary and financial products and services usually acquired through extensive related work experience. Must have broad-based technical knowledge of investments, tax, legal and operations are necessary to service clients. Should have knowledge of fiduciary standards, principles, and applicable laws and regulations usually acquired through training, seminars, or law school. Must have deep knowledge and understanding of contemporary Wealth Management Solutions (Investment Management, Asset Allocation, Tax Planning, Financial Consulting, Custody, Personal Trust, Living Trust, Wills and Estate Planning). Should have knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations that apply to personal fiduciary, state and tax planning services.
