Research Assistant / Paralegal The candidate will work on a variety of criminal law and civil liberties projects. Will be editing/revising articles and lectures; promoting firm's Three Felonies a Day, How the Feds Target the Innocent (Encounter Books, 2009); preparing op-eds and newspaper columns (with shared bylines when appropriate); working with The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education; and maintaining firm's websites (web-editing experience is a plus, but not a prerequisite). Assist firm with criminal defense and civil liberties litigation cases done in collaboration with a small Boston law firm (10 lawyers). Start Date: Summer 2011
Requirements: Bachelor's degree. PLM, MBA or law degree is a plus. 5-10 years of onshore US landman experience. 5+ years of experience with unconventional/resource plays is preferred. Experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. GIS and or database experience is a plus. Excellent communication, multitasking and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds, job functions and experiences. Good computer skills.
