Land Advisor Duties : Will serve as a senior level onshore land negotiator/advisor position working within a multidisciplinary unconventional/resource development team. Thorough knowledge of onshore land activities is required, including land titles, negotiations, contracts, lease agreements, regulatory environment and joint ventures. Direct and actively supervise lease checks, lease acquisition and title curative activity. Recommend/develop and execute lease acquisition budget plans. Initiate and develop business relationships within industry and regulatory bodies and with landowners. Recommend and execute strategy and tactics relating to on-the-ground conditions, including competitor activity. Monitor lease terms/expirations and recommend and execute mitigating plans (trades, top-leasing). Negotiate land trades, including acreage swaps, farmin/farmouts, JV and Exploration Agreements. Collaborate with peers within geology, engineering, geophysics and construction groups in project planning and execution.Monitor regulatory body activities and coordinate company's regulatory activities related to unitization, spacing, pooling and similar matters. Negotiate contracts/agreements such as: Operating Agreements, unit agreements/designations, pooling agreements, farmins, farmouts, leases, options, assignments and trades. Prepare and use maps, PowerPoint presentations, Excel/Word reports and other tools in communications with management and team. Communicate and work well with Finance, Legal, and Land Administration groups.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or some accounting experience preferred. 2+years of previous real estate loan administration experience or real estate paralegal experience. 2 years of experience with the first mortgage or consumer lending products product as collector, loss mitigation analyst, customer service rep or support specialist in various levels of delinquency. Proficiency computer skills, including Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective problem solving skills. Excellent leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills. Must have superior communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and within time constraints. Must be a team player and very flexible to change. Proven ability to engage and positively influence associate peers. Basic computer skills. Some travel may be required. Desired: Previous experience interacting with customers on a face-to-face basis. Ability to embrace change with a positive approach. Above average customer service and analytical skills. Full working knowledge of operational functions. Company's policies and procedures. Knowledge of credit card, auto, home equity, and other financial products.
