Unpaid Internships Interns learn the work of the Office through criminal law training sessions, in court observation and experience, and tours of related agencies. Law students applying for the Internship Program are encouraged to have their third year practice certificate, but other students will also be thoroughly considered. Internships can be arranged for other time periods on a case by case basis. Internship duration: May through August of each year.
The candidate should have completed an undergraduate degree in a procurement and materials related subject, business administration, law, industrial distribution, quantity surveying or similar discipline and 2+ years of experience in subcontracts/procurement or 4+ years in lieu of an undergraduate degree. Should have experience with the following functions: compliance reviews of subcontracts, reviews of subcontract information to determine situational background to support legal review, analyzing subcontract terms and conditions, reviewing subcontracts for compliance with established policies and procedures, analyzing invoices for payment, and trend analysis. Should have MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and Adobe Professional skills. Experience using Introspect a plus.
