This established and expanding precision machining manufacturer needs an experienced individual with strong leadership and people skills to manage a workforce of 75+ in a union environment. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of successfully managing process flow, quick change over in a low volume, high mix environment. Overall focus on safety, cost, delivery, quality and morale. Excellent motivational and team management skills are required. A backgroud in lean and machining is highly desirable.
Education Requirements: BS, Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy, MBA preferred
Other qualifications: Experience with heat treat, castings, materials management, lean manufacturing. Knowledge of TPM and strong technical competency a plus.
