Our client is an independent, mid-sized PR firm headquartered in New York City. They provide a full range of public relations and public affairs services to health care, pharmaceutical and biotechnology enterprises in the non-profit, government, academic and industrial sectors throughout the world. They have an amazing career opportunity for a bright Account Executive.
In this role, you will:
- Implement day-to-day activities for a high-profile, fast-paced pharmaceutical account that encompasses a broad spectrum of PR activities, including third-party collaborations, unbranded awareness initiatives and branded product support
- Serve as “go-to” team member for program implementation
- Manage assigned projects and meet internal and client deadlines
- Contribute strategic/creative ideas for tactics to meet client challenges
- Develop a range of audience-appropriate written materials
- Craft and conduct media pitches which require an understanding of traditional and social media outlets
- Maintain project budgets, assuring quality control and including management of invoices and activity reports
The requirements:
- 1 to 2 years of public relations agency or combination of agency plus in-house pharmaceutical/corporate or non-profit healthcare communications experience
- Experience with national and local market PR campaign execution, media relations, product launches, scientific data meetings and data announcements
- Familiarity with the FDA approvals and advisory committee meetings
- Experience in vaccines and/or infectious diseases (a plus)
