The Sectors they deal in are Infrastructure , commercial and industrial, the civil element makes up 25% of the total turnover which comprises of roads . bridges , water treatment works and rail schemes.
They are currently bidding for 3 schemes which are all over $500 million and are all provincial and federal schemes comprising of a new rail network 2 major ring roads including various structures and bridges
The Role : Project Manager
Duties: Developing a project plan , Project budgeting, Selection of sub-trades
Site organization, Overtime and production issues, Planning, organizing and directing the preconstruction activities, Developing a detailed cost plan, schedule and budget, and track each component during the project , Assisting the estimating team in the preparation of cost estimates ,Participating in the negotiation, preparation and execution of the prime contract, Overseeing the tendering and awarding of sub-trade contracts, Preparing and managing project budgets, Ensuring project health, safety and environmental standards meet or exceed legislated requirements and company policy
Project administration including pricing change orders, tracking requests for information and review of shop drawings
Qualifications: The successful candidate will be a university graduate in engineering or construction management. He/she will have a minimum of 8 years of “hands-on” experience in the capacity of project manager supplemented by other aspects of construction management including cost estimating. This experience should include direct project management of large civil schemes
