Duties:
The TMIP Functional Analyst will assist SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic in the development of the Theater Medical Information Program-Maritime (TMIP-M). The selected candidate will be a subject matter expert within the DoD medical field and especially in the TMIP-M application. The selected candidate will:
• Perform advanced systematic reviews of selected functions to determine the application and design of the TMIP-M system to include AHLTA-T, Business Objects and SAMS, with specific knowledge in Radiation Health.
• Develop functional or operating manuals outlining established methods of performing work in accordance with DoD or DoN policy.
• Participate in various testing functions (i.e. string and acceptance tests) to verify that results are correct.
• Train developer or user personnel in the system operation.
Required Qualifications:
Must be eligible to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience and 5 to 7 years of related DoD or DoN medical information management systems experience. This experience must include:
• 5 years DoD or DoN medical information management systems experience, to include: design, development, test and evaluation, network protocols, or LAN administration fundamentals.
• 3 years experience interpreting and defining software requirements as identified in DoD or DoN medical directives and procedures and communicating the requirements both verbally and in writing to computer software and documentation developers
• 3 years extensive hands-on experience in a functional and/or technical position supporting the TMIP system.
• Technical training in a DoD or DoN medical data management system environment.
• Extensive experience in Radiation Health (RH).
• Ability to obtain a professional certification within 18 months of date of hire.
Desired Qualifications:
• A US Navy NEC of 8404 or 8407 would be viewed as beneficial.
• A current Secret clearance would be viewed as beneficial.
