While U Wait News is a growing company based in Flower Mound, Texas offering local advertising to local businesses through the media of 2 (+) newspapers designed to entertain and inform customers at businesses where they wait for service. We are in search of an independent outside sales representative to help continue our growth. The person we seek will be an experienced advertising sale professional that can see the opportunity, then plan their work and work their plan with self discipline and minimal distraction. This is a commission only position, no benefits, no expenses and no base salary. Training is included from a seasoned professional. Prior advertising sales is strongly preferred but not required, if other sales skills are strong.
Responsibilities:
• Continue to achieve mutually agreed upon sales goals
• Generate new client sales by cold call prospecting (phone & walk-ins).
• Renew existing accounts.
• Educate and sell clients on advertising options.
• Ensure superior client experience through flawless customer service.
Tough requirements, but a great opportunity if you qualify:
• Degree preferred, but not required.
• Must have at least 2 years of previously successful sales experience, advertising industry preferred, but not required.
• Must provide business references, which will be checked.
• Must have a cell phone, internet access, valid TX license and have reliable transportation with insurance.
• Must dress for success and possess excellent communication and people skills.
• Must be a self disciplined, self-starter with problem solving skills from 9AM - 5PM.
• Must be able to build and maintain professional relationships with business clients.
• Must work by a plan and be results driven.
• Must be able to ask for the order and close the deal.
