AREA (ZONE) SALES MANAGER
SUMMARY:
- Plans, supervises, coordinates, and administers all business activities in a large geographic territory for the Industrial Power Generation Business, Industrial Products Division for new apparatus
- Responsible for exceeding assigned sales quotas within the budgeted manpower levels and expenses
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate Field Sales, Marketing Engineers, Application Engineers in the preparation and submittal of Turbine Generator proposals applicable to the respective area of responsibility
- Identify and develop relations with EPC’s, A&E’s, Financial Planners and users in the power generation market
- Assist and/or lead in the training and development of area representatives in the market of power generation
- Provide sales strategy to Marketing, Applications Engineers and area representatives
- Direct involvement in negotiations of final technical requirements and commercial terms applicable to a potential order.
- Direct efforts of Sales Representatives within the assigned territory to support bookings of COMPANY products
- Lead generation with specific API epc’s, customers for Sales Engineers
- Generate Sales

EMPLOYEES (that may be)REPORTING TO AREA SALES MANAGER
QUALLIFICATIONS:
- Technical degree (preferred Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering) with excellent knowledge of steam turbines, power generation equipment, power distribution basics, rotating equipment, surface condensers and a good understanding of existing and emerging energy related markets to satisfy the growing demand for alternative energy (such as MSW, Bio Mass, Plasma and gasification).
- Minimum 5 years Marketing and/or Sales experience related to rotating machinery at users and/or engineering contractor levels
- Knowledge in the selection and application of COMPANY equipment in the specified markets served
- Basic understanding of financial principals is also required
- Basic computer skills and software knowledge
