Full-time Administrative / Marketing Assistant

at Bilingual Resources Group, Inc. in New Orleans/Baton Rouge area

Summary:Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, takes dictation, and otherwise relieves manager of clerical work and minor administrative and business detail by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reads and routes incoming mail.
Registers attendees to workshops.
Composes and types routine correspondence.
Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and other records.
Coordinates manager's schedule and makes appointments.
Conducts research, and compiles and types statistical reports.
Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities.
Creates email marketing and flyers.
Creates presentations on Powerpoint
Creates proposals & quotes for projects
Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials.
Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
Orders and maintains supplies.
Customer service oriented
Able to meet deadlines
Flexible schedule can be provided
Other administrative duties as needed for position

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills: Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email, Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Experience with sales & marketing is a plus.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages,. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
