Job Title : Biologist – III (Senior)
Location : West Point, PA
Rate Range : Open

Description:
Primary activities include, but are not limited to: 1. Scientific Expertise – Expected to be knowledgeable in biology, specifically in the areas of biochemistry and cell biology, protein production & purification, and assay development and screening. Candidate should be knowledgeable, specifically in the area of gene expression profiling, genotyping, DNA sequencing and proteomics. 2. Scientific and Business Requirements- sourcing project implementation- Individual will work with internal scientists to develop project workplans that are clear and understandable, and will be responsible for assisting external vendors in the troubleshooting of technical and procedural issues with minimal supervision.

Requirement:
This individual will manage the outsourcing of services in support of basic research in the area of in vitro biology, including biological reagent production (proteins, molecular biology reagents, etc), enzyme and cell based assay development, and assay screening Minimum BS degree in biological sciences. An advanced degree, MS or PhD, is a plus. Minimum of 8 years of scientific experience in a research environment (with preference to industrial environment). Direct sourcing experience (as buyer or seller) preferred.
